Shihan Chinda's
credentials are:
7 Dan Shotokan Karate-Do, 7 Dan
Ju-Jutsu, 4 Dan Kendo, 2 Dan Aikido, 1
Dan Judo, 1 Dan Wado-Ryu, Chi Kung and
Tai-Chi Chuan Sifu. He was fortunate
to learn from great Masters, such as:
R. Haberzetser, I. Jorga, H. Miura, A.
Basile, H. Ochi and W. Lind (Budo Studien Kreiss).
A long time friend, Master Lind helped
Master Chinda gain a new perception of
Karate Do. Master Chinda introduced
the basics in Chi Kung and Tai Chi
Chuan at Budo Studien Kreiss, guiding
Monica and Gabi Lind in their early
explorations. Today they are both
leading Sifu in Germany. Master Chinda

Shihan Chinda's journey in
Ju-Jutsu started, as previously
mentioned, with his father Eugen, by
studying Goshin Ryu Jiu-Jitsu. His
studies were furthered with such world
renown Masters as P. Nehls and F. Piaskovy which
guided him through Kosogabe Ryu and
Tenjin Shinjo Ryu Ju Jutsu. Kashiwaya
Sensei offered the nobility of Kendo
and the depth and harmony of Chi Kung
and Tai-Chi Chuan were illuminated by
Grand Masters M.S. Yang and Y.S. Chei.
Shihan Chinda has been
featured in various newspapers, radio
talk shows, and television programs.
He has published the following books:
"Tai-Chi Chuan: The Way to
Meditation in Movement"; "Do-In:
The Ancient Chinese Self-Massage";
"Pa Tuan Chin: The Chinese Health
Method". In addition, he has
produced the following videos: "Twenty-six
Shotokan Karate-Do Katas"; "Tai-Chi
Chuan and Pa Tuan Chin"; "Pa
Tuan Chin, For Health and Beauty";
and "Tai-Chi Chuan, A Way to
Personal Power". Six new volumes
of videos were produced in 1994 in the
United States:"Wai Dan Chi Kung";
"Tai Chi Chuan Short Form"; "Tai
Chi Chuan Long Form"; "Pushing
Hands"; "Tai Chi Broad
Sword"; and "26 Shotokan
Karate Katas". The videos are

Shihan Chinda is involved in
practicing Zen and Art, as well as
Do-In, Shiatsu, and lately
Feng-Shui. He enjoys creating Bonsai,
having many of his artworks living in
private collections and nurseries in
Pittsburgh, Fort Lauderdale, Miami
(USA), San Miguel de Allende and
Monterey (Mexico). His journey
continues exploring the relation
between the bonsais and their
containers creating his own pots in
his ceramic studio. There are classes
for bonsai and pottery only by
appointment, offered to the CII
students in the Zen and Art classes.

While in Germany, he had
the chance to discover the beauty of
Ikebana
through the world-renowned Master, Ms.
Marianne Sikora, establishing
a long lasting friendship based on
love for nature. Arriving in the
USA, he continued the instructions
in Ikebana from Sensei Reiko
Nakajima, the founder of Ikebana
classes at CII.
Master Chinda has a
Doctorate degree in Architecture and
Environmental Design and in the past
has produced award-winning designs for
companies in Germany and the United
States. He retired after teaching in
USA for year as an University
Professor.
