Instructor from Sapporo, Japan. Sensei
Kashiwaya is the Founder Master of the Kendo
section of the Chinda Institute. Sensei
Kashiwaya had visited Pittsburgh as a visiting
professor 1997-98, when he instructed and
founded our Kendo section.
Reiko Nakajima
Reiko Nakajima
is a traditional Japanese Sogetsu
Ikebana Master with instruction since
1978. She is the founder of our Ikebana
class.
Nicholas J. Novaleski
Nicholas J. Novaleski, 2nd Dan Kendo,
and a Kendo
Instructor for CII, and since August 2003 is
the CII Representative at the Pittsburgh
Institute for Mind-Body Development. For the
past 25 years, Nick has studied Japanese
philosophy, culture and arts as they relate to
the Japanese sword. He is a graduate of Penn
State University with a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Education. He has been studying at

Gary Marshall, Ph.D.
Gary has been studying Tai-Chi
Chuan with Sifu Chinda since 1992. He is
an instructor for Chi
Kung and assistant instructor for Tai-Chi
Chuan, teaching at Pittsburgh Institute
of Mind-Body Development, part of CII. Gary is
an Associate Professor at the University of
Pittsburgh.
Karen
Walck
Karen was an
Assistant Instructor for Chi
Kung since 2003. She has been studying
Tai-Chi
Chuan and Chi Kung, Shotokan
Karate, and Ju-Jutsu
with the Senior Master since 1995.
John
Arnold
John Arnold has
studied Kendo
at CII with Sensei Chinda and Sensei Satoshi
since 2000. He was promoted as an Assistant
Instructor in 2003.
Michael
Schulz
Certified Instructor in Tai
Chi Chuan and Chi Kung by CII, Michael
kept the German section, teaching Tai Chi and
Chi Kung until 2002. Starting on his own path,
Michael teaches Tai Chi and Chi Kung in his
own school, continuing the heritage of Chinda
Institute International.
Monika Lind
Certified Instructor in Tai
Chi Chuan and Chi Kung by CII, Monika is
the Lead Teacher for BSK
in the Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung Section and
co-author of the "Taijiquan and Qigong
Enciclopedia". Since 1988 she teaches
Yang-style Taijiquan, several weapons and
Qigong at the BSK.
Gabi Fischer-Lind
Certified Instructor in Tai
Chi Chuan and Chi Kung by CII, for BSK.
She is head teacher for Taijiquan and Qigong
at the Budo Studien Kreis and the author of
the Taijiquan und Qigong-Lexikon (1995),
Qigong für alle Kampfkünste (Sportverlag
Berlin1998) and the author of the video Qigong
für alle Kampfkünste (vol. 1 & 2). Gabi
Lind gained her diploma in Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM) at the International Free
University of Maastricht (Netherlands).
Zsiga Kovach
He was and Assistant Instructor in Chi
Kung and Tai Chi Chuan for the Chinda
Institute International in
Odorheiu-Secuiese, Romania. He is a
Karate Sensei.
Zsiga also studies Ninjitsu and other Martial
Arts.
Beverly Jordan
Instructor in Ikebana.
Beverly studied with Reiko Nakajima at Chinda
Institute, she continues her studies with Sensei
Nakajima, obtaining the title of Sogetsu Ikebana
Instructor, certified in Japan. Beverly also
practices Nei Kung and Meditiation, Chi Kung,
and Tai Chi Chuan. Ikebana arrangements by Beverly.
Jesús Herrera
Jesús studies Kendo with Sensei Dan-Horia Chinda
since 2008. He had previous experience in
Martial Arts since 1984 practicing Karate Do,
Chung Kuo Chuan and Aikido. He devoted himself
to Kendo which brought him to become a CII
Instructor and since 2012 he is the CII
representative at the San Miguel de Allende
Dojo. Jesús is a 1st Dan level in Kendo. He is a
graphic designer and co-owner of Zonagrafica
design studio in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Iván Barrera
Iván studies Kendo with Sensei Dan-Horia Chinda
since 2008. He had previous experience in
Martial Arts since 2007 practicing Karate Do. He
devoted himself to Kendo which brought him to
become a CII Assistant Instructor at the San
Miguel de Allende Dojo. Iván is a 1st Kyu level
in Kendo. He is a Computer Engineer. |
